CKEditor for Joomla Updated

We are happy to announce an update to CKEditor for Joomla, a unique solution that integrates the most popular online editor in the world into the Joomla! content management system. This release brings CKFinder version to 2.1.1 and introduces compatibility with Joomla! 2.5, the latest and exciting version of this popular CMS.

Introducing Support for Joomla! 2.5

Joomla! 2.5 was released worldwide yesterday as an update to the existing 1.7 line and we are happy to introduce immediate support for this version in the CKEditor extension. Among the prominent new features of the latest release are multi-database support, new natural language search engine, automatic notifications for extension updates and a few others. CKEditor for Joomla is now fully compatible with the latest Joomla! version, so you can safely upgrade your site and use the latest editor extension version.

CKFinder 2.1.1 Now Available

CKFinder, the file browser that is included in the CKEditor for Joomla package, was now updated to version 2.1.1. Version 2.1.1 is a maintenance release that will be particularly exciting to our global audience due to several serious enhancements in Right-To-Left languages support as well as numerous new localizations and updates in existing ones. A few useful API changes and new features were introduced, too.

Ready and Supported for Joomla! 1.5 and Higher

CKEditor for Joomla is compatible with and supported for Joomla! 1.5 as well as Joomla! 1.6, 1.7 and 2.5.
