CKFinder 3.5.1.2 for PHP released
We would like to announce that CKFinder 3.5.1.2 for PHP has just been released. This is a maintenance release that adds support for PHP 8 and updates multiple third-party libraries. We have also added support for Laravel 8 and Symfony 5 in their official CKFinder integration packages.
PHP 8 compatibility
A stable version of PHP 8 was released a few months ago. The new major version of the popular language introduces multiple new features and performance optimizations — among them, some long-awaited features like attributes, match expressions and a JIT compiler. Starting from version 3.5.1.2 CKFinder is now compatible with PHP 8.
Note that while these changes were introduced, the new version of CKFinder 3 remains compatible with PHP 7.4, too.
CKFinder 3 Laravel and Symfony integrations
You can also comfortably integrate the best file manager for CKEditor in the newest versions of the two most popular PHP frameworks, Laravel 8 and Symfony 5, as CKFinder’s official packages for Laravel and for Symfony have also been updated. In particular, substantial changes were made to the Laravel package, to make the integration compatible with the newest, eighth version.
