#### Parameters

* `element: ModelElement`

  The model element to be converted to the view structure.

* `conversionApi: DowncastConversionApi`

  The conversion interface.

* `data: object`

  Additional information about the change (same as for [`insert`](module_engine_conversion_downcastdispatcher-DowncastDispatcher.md#event-insert) event).

  Properties

  * `data.item: ModelItem`

    Inserted item.

  * `data.range: ModelRange`

    Range spanning over inserted item.

#### Returns

* `ViewElement | null`

  The view element.
