### `getBalloonPositionData( editor ) → Partial<DomOptimalPositionOptions>` _(internal)_

Returns the positioning options that control the geometry of the [contextual balloon](module_ui_panel_balloon_contextualballoon-ContextualBalloon.md) with respect to the selected element in the editor content.

* `editor: Editor`

  The editor instance.

* `Partial<DomOptimalPositionOptions>`

A helper utility that positions the [contextual balloon](module_ui_panel_balloon_contextualballoon-ContextualBalloon.md) instance with respect to the image in the editor content, if one is selected.
